Central and Inner Asia in the historical and cultural context: interactions,
oral histories and research methodology”
Working languages: Kyrgyz, Russian and English
Organization committee accepts panels and individual
abstracts within the given theme. Is it appropriate to talk about collective
“asian” memory on the post-soviet space? What are the narratives describing the
nation-building processes or “external positioning” as well as approaches in research?
The proceedings of the conference will be published in
Fall 2017, in the journal of Institute of History and Cultural Heritage,
National Academy of Sciences.

The committee will pay for the transportation expenses
Bishkek-Issik-koul-Bishkek as well as food during the conference. Accommodation
will be provided within the Turkish-Kyrgyz Lyceum. Participants may choose and
pay on their own in the private sector near the conference place.
